Michael Minch earned his Ph.D. from the University of Utah. He is chair of the Philosophy and Humanities Department at Utah Valley University and director of Peace and Justice Studies. He is the author of The Democratic Theory of Michael Oakeshott.
Christine Weigel earned her Ph.D from Temple University. She is chair of the philosophy department at Utah Valley State College.

Hard to read!!!

The book is really hard to understand. There is no glossary. The author assumes everybody knows the terms he uses in the book. Philosophy is a beautiful subject, there is no need to make us feel like it is useless. The book just makes students feel dumb. Glad I got an amazing professor at University of Utah, professor Shannon Atkins, that makes the subject interesting.

It's hard understanding all the writings, but that's to be expected I suppose

I rented this book from Amazon for a required philosophy class at Utah Valley University. I'm just lucky that my teacher is able to explain the concepts very well because I have a really hard time understanding most of the principles from this book! Hopefully you get as lucky as I was to find a good teacher. If you go to UVU, it's professor Atkinson.
